FloQast Awarded G2’s #1 Financial Close Software Throughout 2023
With just a few days left in 2023, the team here at FloQast is in a reflective mood.
There was some exciting product news, followed closely by some more exciting product news. There was the launch of free public CPE/CPD courses for all. We launched an all-new brand strategy, a look and feel that just feels…fresh. FloQast found itself on the Deloitte Fast 500 list, and made its debut on the Inc. 5000 list. But perhaps most impressive were a few accolades that came from the people who matter most: FloQast customers.
What is he getting at?
With today’s release of the G2 Winter 2024 Grid Report, it’s official: For all of 2023, FloQast has held the top spot in G2’s Financial Close Management category, marking five straight quarters at the top of a highly competitive field. Additionally, the report marks a full year that FloQast was a leader in all regional grids, something we’re particularly proud of given our recent launching of an office in Sydney, and, just a few years back, the launch of FloQast London.
So much happened this year. Where did the time go?
As we wind down 2023, it’s worth looking at the this G2 report to see where things stand heading into the new year. Are you ready?
And starting out strong for 2024!
Excellence in the Enterprise
In addition to its overall leadership, FloQast continues to resonate with users at at the enterprise level, in particular.
In the latest G2 report, enterprise user reviews ranked FloQast #1 for Best Estimated ROI.
“Prior to using FloQast, we had all of our close checklist items in Google Sheets,” wrote one user at an enterprise-level company. “It was difficult to maintain and lacked a clean timeline view of when items were occurring throughout the close. Amounts were being reconciled manually from Excel to our ERP (Netsuite) and it took a lot of additional time from the team to show that this was occurring appropriately. Once we implemented FloQast, all of these problems went away! We have great visibility into when tasks and reconciliations are occurring, who is doing them, and where the bottlenecks are. The ability for FloQast to systematically ensure that the Excel reconciliations agree to our ERP and remain in balance has been a game changer for reviewers. I would recommend FloQast to anyone who is looking to streamline and optimize their close process!”
FloQast has always strived to make the implementation process as seamless as possible. At the enterprise level, with subsidiaries, operating regions, and higher levels of users much more likely, this can pose a challenge for both the vendor and the client. However, FloQast still landed the top spot on the G2 Winter 2024 Grid Report as the Most Implementable solution in the enterprise category.
“I appreciate how hands-on the FloQast team is in supporting us,” said a user at an enterprise company. “The team has quarterly check-ins with our team, and really makes us feel like our feedback is being taken into account. The suite of features offered have helped us streamline some of our processes and our whole team is able to implement the features easily.”
At the end of the day, teams need to see the results they were promised. Once again, FloQast found itself awarded the Best Results badge at the enterprise level.
“…The FloQast team provides results! If there is a feature FloQast currently doesn’t offer, they will actively work to implement this in the future. FloQast team members are knowledgeable, considerate, and genuinely care about the success of the companies that use their products. Our team repeatedly mentions how we wish every vendor we use were as excellent as FloQast,” said Mary Maze, a Senior Accountant at PepperPointe Partnerships, PLLC.
In the Winter 2024 grid, FloQast secured Leader badges across a key variety categories in the Enterprise reports, including:
- Overall Leader

The Golden Standard for Mid-Market
According to users, FloQast’s prowess excels in the Mid-Market, which continues to set the standard for excellence.

“…Very easy/clear to use (book-keepers to tech-savvy controllers can manage using it),” wrote Kara Schuler, CPA, Vice President of Finance, Granite Comfort LP. “One-stop shop for all support results in easier audits. Implementation was also a breeze. And last but not least, the customer support is second to none – they are AMAZING. They are always there for you (you won’t need it frequently), but this team is very bright, motivated, and always willing to help.”
Additionally, Mid-Market users agreed with enterprise users in naming FloQast as the Most Implementable.
“FloQast is a valuable tool that enhances our month-end close process by providing us with clear and timely insights into our progress, challenges, and opportunities,” wrote Jacqueline Sun, Financial Controller, Aypa Power .” It seamlessly integrates with our existing workflow and enables us to monitor the completion status, identify the bottlenecks, and determine the optimal time for a soft close to generate financial statements. It also helps us to prioritize tasks and automate reminders, reducing the need for manual follow-ups and repetitive requests. We use FloQast on a daily basis and rely on it as the main source of information for our weekly meetings, where we discuss the week’s priorities and potential risks. FloQast is user-friendly and easy to implement, requiring minimal training and setup time. It also allows us to organize and reconcile our month-end working papers more efficiently and accurately.”
Keeping It Global
FloQast not only maintained its top position in the overall Financial Close Software category, but also secured leader badges across all regional grids, including the Americas, EMEA Regional, Europe Regional, Asia Regional, and Asia Pacific Grid Reports for Financial Close. This reflects FloQast’s expanding influence among global audiences.
“The Balance Sheet Reconciliation module is absolutely amazing. Now, the team and the company can’t live without [FloQast],” wrote Martin Dalskov, the Director of Finance for Podimo (based in Denmark). “It ensures compliance, timely reconciliations, and an easy-to-use file management system that syncs automatically with our Google Workspace environment for online storage management.
Moreover, their onboarding (led by Nicholas Marrazzo) and support (led by Brittany Shaw) teams are the best I have ever worked with! They made the onboarding and the day-to-day use a real success!

Off to a Flying Start
With G2’s Winter 2024 Grid report, one thing is clear: FloQast leadership of the Financial Close Management space in 2023 will bode well into2024.
“The visibility into the account balances, differences, and easy access to the reconciliations makes reviewing accounts at the end of the month much quicker and easier,” said Justin Parks, Corporate Controller, Technimark. “The organization, locking of periods, getting notices when reconciliations go out of balance are also nice. The ability to group families of accounts that use one reconciliation or accounts that should net to zero has also been a considerable time saver.”
Here’s to a great 2024!
