Springing Forward: FloQast Tops G2’s Financial Close Software Momentum Grid, Announces Big Hiring Plans

Spring is upon us, the sun is shining (though it usually is here in Southern California), and FloQast has some more exciting news to share. The G2 Spring 2021 Momentum Grid for Financial Close Software is out, and FloQast sits firmly atop with a comfortable lead on BlackLine and competing solutions.

Based on a multitude of factors including social, web, employee, and review data, G2’s proprietary algorithm calculates the momentum of solutions in the space. This spring, FloQast came out on top with a Momentum Grid Score of 85, equally as impressive as the 98 Satisfaction Score the algorithm awarded FloQast.

“It’s one thing for a company to say it has momentum, but what makes this recognition so special is that it reflects real-life sentiment from users who know the accounting software landscape,” said Mike Whitmire, CPA*, CEO and co-founder of FloQast. “We were confident that we emerged from 2020 as one of the leaders in the industry, and topping G2’s Momentum Grid for Spring 2021 validates it.”

As exciting as the Momentum Grid Score and Satisfaction scores are, it’s important to consider where competing solutions finished in comparison. Of the three Momentum leaders listed, FloQast’s Momentum Grid Score was 12 points higher than the second-place solution and 20 points higher than the third-place solution. Additionally, FloQast’s Satisfaction Score of 98 was nine points higher than the next solution, with the third-place product finishing with a score of 65.

“I know FloQast is giving me a true representation of where we’re at with the close,” said Kyle Ewen, global financial controller at Sofar Sounds. “I’m not wasting my time — or anyone else’s — trying to figure out where we’re at with the close. It’s easy to see our progress, and it takes a lot of stress away.”

Additionally, FloQast earned 26 other G2 badges for Spring 2021, including Users Most Likely to Recommend, Highest User Adoption, Fastest Implementation, and both Best Support and Easiest to Do Business With for enterprise users. Other badges earned include Best Estimated ROI, Best Results, and Easiest Setup.

Q1 of 2021 proved quite busy for the FloQast team. At the start of the year, FloQast was named one of the best places to work in Los Angeles for the third year in a row. And in February, our Customer Success team was honored as one of the best in the world

FloQast Adds 200th Employee, Plans To Add at Least 75 More

The good news didn’t stop there.

We are incredibly excited to announce another company milestone: Recently, FloQast hired its 200th employee, and we plan to continue adding. As of today, FloQast has roughly 75 open positions across all departments, including business development, customer success, engineering, sales and sales enablement, marketing, product support, and revenue operations.

Of course, as a company that prides itself on the number of former auditors and accountants on staff, we’re always on the lookout for talented professionals with accounting backgrounds to submit their resumes! Not sure what you want to do? We can help you out.

“We like to say that our software is made for accountants by accountants, and that our company is, too — FloQast is where accountants work,” Whitmire added. “We’ve been able to generate success and momentum because we know how to address the real-life pain points that accountants face every day, and we aim to continue that by bringing more people with accounting backgrounds into the fold. We encourage prospects with an accounting background to apply, even if they don’t know which position would be best for them — we’re committed to finding the right match so prospects can unlock their accounting careers even further.”
