Let the Good Times Roll: FloQast Named to 2021 Inc. Best Workplaces List
To say that the past year has given us plenty of time to reflect would be an understatement.
The months of terror and uncertainty have put even the simplest things in life — going to the store, seeing friends and family, and working — in perspective the way only a global pandemic could.
Like most companies, FloQast has been operating remotely since March 2020. The interruption of events we take for granted — in-person meetings, water cooler talk, and happy hours — didn’t just threaten to fundamentally change what was a flourishing company: It did change the company culture … just for the better.
Today, the FloQast team is unbelievably proud to announce that we’ve made Inc.’s Best Workplaces of 2021 list. It’s a tremendous achievement for any business, but especially so considering the myriad of challenges the COVID-19 pandemic threw at us. Only a fraction of the roughly 3,200 companies in consideration actually made the cut, and we couldn’t be prouder to be one of them.

We can’t lie, it’s a weird time for this news. Most of us haven’t seen each other in person in well over a year, and if someone were to say that the office is no longer in Sherman Oaks, some of us might even believe it (I can confirm that it is still there, and it looks great). But this last year has given us time to reflect on things like our jobs and this company, and in the end, FloQasters took the time to be honest with the good people from Inc. and tell them about FloQast and what a positive environment it offers.
In January, Built In named us one of the best places to work in Los Angeles, but today’s news is a little bit bigger. As a rapidly growing company, we want the best and brightest on our team — and that means going beyond Los Angeles. With over 35 open positions, we’re taking our show on the road and actively looking for new team members, regardless of their physical location. Today’s news reflects the hard work and dedication FloQast has put into establishing and scaling its company culture not just in our Southern California home, but on a national scale.
This news comes in the wake of a few big months for our team. Recently, the G2 Spring 2021 Momentum Grid for Financial Close Software was released, with FloQast sitting firmly atop the leaderboard. And just a few weeks ago, we announced the completion of our SOC 2 Type 1 certification (be sure to check out my conversation with Director of Compliance Vicky LeVay about exactly what that means), which is a huge step in our goal to one day IPO.
It’s a big day for the FloQast team, but we’re taking the news in stride. There’s a lot of work to be done, but there’s always time to step back and enjoy the picture. Here’s to more big news to come!
