Meet the Team

Celebrating International Dog Day 2023: Meet the FloQast Canine Crew

There are a lot of times when I thank my lucky stars for having been employed at FloQast for nearly five years. But for the second year in a row, as I sift through emails and Slacks and find myself resizing images and spouting off witty (ish) commentary on dog photos, I think to myself, “What a wonderful world.”

In honor of International Dog Day 2023 (which is this weekend), I once again set out to profile some very good boys and girls, as well as their humans, to show the people what they really want: Cute dog photos.

While many FloQasters work remotely, a handful of helpful Slack channels (#pawffice, #iamfloqast) helped me source today’s list of good boys and girls. I did not take this work lightly: Choosing to feature a handful of furry friends submitted by 20+ FloQasters could very well form some sort of rift dog lovers within the company. The good news is: There were a lot of great options to choose from, and there’s a lot more canine content to share.

Shameless Plug: Did you know that FloQast offers employees discounted pet insurance? Now you do. Check out the FloQast Careers page to learn about what perks FloQast offers and what positions are open.

Without further ado, here are some really good doggos.

This dog will never be in trouble. Ever.

What Wally Contributes to FloQast (if anything. Be honest): He racks up likes on social media, team mascot, mid-day comedic relief

Time to schedule a checkup, because my girl Happy appears terminally chill

Name: Happy
Breed: Bichon Mix
Age: 11
Human: Russ Goldstein, Senior Software Engineer
Hometown: Long Island, NY
Fun Fact: Happy will make any nap spot comfortable, even when it’s obviously uncomfortable.
Favorite Activities: Spending time with her people, playing with her beloved yellow ball, running on the beach, and of course, napping (bonus points if it’s on a pool float).
What Happy Contributes to FloQast (if anything. Be honest): As is her namesake, she makes everyone around her happier — so if I’m having a tough day or need some positive vibes, she gives me a boost of energy that I take into FloQast every day!

The look of a dog who knows exactly how the Chicago Bears 2022-2023 season is going to turn out

Trying to remember something very important

Name: Angus
Breed: Golden Retriever x Labrador

Hometown: London, England
Fun Fact: Angus absolutely loves watching live sports on the TV. He finds them completely fascinating. Unfortunately seems to be a Man City fan.
Favorite Activities: Swimming. This has led to some of his least favourite activities (baths). Will never leave a pigeon unchased.
What Angus Contributes to FloQast (if anything. Be honest): Serenaded a lot of my calls when he was a puppy with his favourite squeaky toys. Some clients come back requesting Angus updates. Also comes into the office and is a Very Good Boy.
