The Big 4 accounting firms love themselves some sports. Let’s take a look at the CPA connection in the world of sports:
Ernst & Young:
-The global brand will continue it’s visibility worldwide with a strategic partnership for the Summer Olympics inRio 2016.
-In golf connections, E&Y is sponsor of the Ryder Cup.
-Fun fact: Former E&Y employee and Home Depot founder, Arthur Blank is the owner of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.
-KPMG wins on the sports diversity front, supporting the Yorkshire Jets which compete in something called Netball?
-Deloitte’s annual review of The
Soccer Football Money League is an interesting read. Fun fact: Real Madrid has the most revenue of any sports team in the world.
-I hear Deloitte University may make the NCAA tournament this year.
-PWC also loves golf as it is a sponsor of the PGA tour event TPC Sawgrass.
-They published a study on the Outlook of the Global Sports Market.
-PWC also supports Irish rugby, field hockey and The America’s Cup.
As you can see the Big 4 accounting firms are heavily involved in the sports world, but oddly not very involved with the Big 4 American sports. Through various sponsorships these accounting giants spend money all over the world (except on overtime for their employees!). If I missed any sports connections, please add them in the comment section!
