LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–FloQast, a provider of close management software created by accountants for accountants, announced today that the Company earned two gold and two silver Stevie® Awards in The 15th Annual American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
“Earning four Stevie Awards in the prestigious American Business Awards competition is a rare accomplishment for any company, and we’re proud of our showing. As a team of former accountants who built a solution for accountants, we’ve distinctly tailored FloQast to work the way our customers perform their daily jobs,” said Michael Whitmire, CPA, co-founder and chief executive officer at FloQast.
“Based on the comments, it was clear that the judges truly understood the rationale behind FloQast when they reviewed our entries. The month-end close is a tedious process for most companies and one judge captured the essence of this problem and our value when he cited: ‘FloQast should definitely be considered as the Company of the Year. In an industry that has done it the same way for so long, it is refreshing to have a company think through improvements and implement them.’ We are proud that FloQast is helping accountants become more efficient by enabling faster and more accurate closes,” Whitmire explained.
More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Details about The American Business Awards and the list of 2017 Stevie winners are available at www.StevieAwards.com.
