FloQast Named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies

As a co-founder and CEO, seeing FloQast receive honors and awards never gets old. 

Who doesn’t like winning?

But as important as it is to recognize individual achievements and departmental wins, these moments really allow everyone to take a step back and realize how their contributions, at the individual and team levels, contribute to the success of a broader organization. 

When FloQast was 40 or 50 employees, this felt a lot different. In those startup days, that feeling of everyone pulling together seemed more tangible because we were all learning the ropes to an extent and chipping in on new, exciting projects together. 

But now, with over 570 employees located in the U.S. and abroad, receiving an award feels just as good, if not better. It’s confirmation in the momentum that we’ve seen consistently and affirmation for those who might not be able to see what their contributions might make to the broader organization, that we wouldn’t be here without their hard work and proactive attitude.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to announce that FloQast has been named to the Inc. 5000 list for the first time. It’s truly an honor to be recognized as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies Inc. Magazine, and a real bucket-list moment for the company. 

Today’s honor marks the latest in FloQast’s continued momentum. Recently, we were honored as “Best Place to Work” by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the seventh consecutive year, and also announced, a moment that I’ll admit gets me pretty nostalgic, thinking back to when we first won the award way back in 2017. Additionally, we also announced:

• “TakeControl Charting the Future of Accounting,” the company’s fifth-annual user conference
• Strategic alliances with Crowe LLP and BDO Germany
• A ground-breaking market research project in conjunction with the University of Georgia, analyzing the compliance function and its value to businesses today
• Continued leadership of G2’s Financial Close Management Report

Again, this could not have been done without the collective, individual contributions of everyone at FloQast. We have an unbelievably talented team, and this award is validation of that. 

We’ve still got a lot of 2023 left to see what comes next. Until then, LFG!

As CEO and Co-Founder, Mike leads FloQast’s corporate vision, strategy and execution. Prior to founding FloQast, he managed the accounting team at Cornerstone OnDemand, a SaaS company in Los Angeles. He began his career at Ernst & Young in Los Angeles where he performed public company audits, opening balance sheet audits, cash to GAAP restatements, compilation reviews, international reporting, merger and acquisition audits and SOX compliance testing. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Syracuse University.
