Leveraging Accounting Knowledge for Sales Success as a FloQast Business Development Representative
It’s no secret that we’re hiring, so to give potential applicants a better sense of the opportunities working at FloQast presents, we’ve been highlighting employees who embody the proactive spirit we look for.
Unlike the last few employee spotlights we’ve published, Garrett Wilson came to FloQast straight from a CPA firm, joining the team in August 2020 as a business development representative. A graduate of Cal-State University-Northridge, Garrett has put his accounting expertise to good use, having recently been promoted to senior business development representative.
“Coming to FloQast with an accounting background helped tremendously,” Garrett said. “Having an understanding of how a monthly close is performed helped me on day one because I had been in the seat of the prospect prior to joining FloQast, and knew the pains of closing without FloQast.”

While his transition into sales at FloQast has been incredibly positive, Garrett admitted that taking the leap was a big decision — one that he’s glad he ended up making.

Having recently celebrated his one-year anniversary, Garrett is looking forward to many more.
